Internet connection drops out, but signal strength remains strong, still connected to router - C3000

Question

Recently bought C3000 Cable Gateway (Time Warner ISP) have changed my router name, password, and channel, but otherwise using default settings. I've reached out to Time Warner to trouble shooting, but they've not been able to provide any help, they say the connection is strong and consistent on their end.

The problem - Every 30mins my internet connection will time out, this time out will last about 2 - 5 mins. Then the connection will return to normal. The signal indicator remains strong and connected during the drop out.

I would appreciate any help, guidance, and troubleshooting!

Is this happening just on the wireless or both wired and wireless connections?

Only drops out on wireless. Wired connection still works

I would try to change the wireless channel see if that improves the performance. Also you may want to test 1 device at a time on the wireless to see if a certain device being connected is crashing the wifi.
