So yesterday I started having connection problems where only my PC would connect to the internet and other devices in the house could not connect. I have tried to power cycle and factory reset several times. All my green lights on the router are lit so I know I have internet. My ISP says everything is working. I tried changing WiFi channel and router name and password. Now I can't even connect on my PC, or I should say it's intermittent it'll come up for a few seconds and then go away. Whenever I boot up my PC my CM500 modem has frequent issues trying to connect to the Internet. I have to restart them modem multiple time before the connection finally occurs. Once the connection is successful, the modem and connection are fine. I have no slow-downs or drops. But if I have to re-boot my computer very often I will have same issues trying to re-establish the connection again. But sometimes I don't and sometimes when I first boot up my PC the connection occurs without issues. My ISP is Spectrum and I notice they still haven't upgraded the modem driver. Netgear support says it should be V1.01.07 but when I check through the Genie GUI page it is V1.01.04. The ISP is supposed to be the one who updates the modem driver, aren't they? Anyway, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve the issue of establishing my Internet conncetion with the modem. When I have to Reboot my Lenovo ideapad 70017ISK Laptop the Internet quits working. The Ethernet connection shows service and when I run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting it doesn't show any problems but I still can't connect to any Websites with the Browser. What I have to do is Reset the CM500 and then I can connect to the Web again. For the past half a year, my N450 (CG3000Dv2) cabel modem router has been completely unreliable. It regularly drops connection. Sometimes restarting helps, sometimes it doesn't. I've rebooted the box a couple times, and that helps for maybe a day, sometimes less. This connectivity issue seems to be a common complaint for N450, and also seems to be tied to the V3.01.06 firmware (makes sense to me, based on when my problems started). I see that V3.01.14 has been pushed by Comcast to its customers. Any Comcast N450 customers on here who had connectivity issues with V3.01.06? And if so, did those problems go away with V3.01.14? I have Spectrum, which is still using V3.01.06. It's really frustrating to be experiencing this problem, especially since I had suffered through the same issue over a year ago. That time, the probably spontaneously resolved, presumably when the Firmware was updated. Recently bought C3000 Cable Gateway (Time Warner ISP) have changed my router name, password, and channel, but otherwise using default settings. I've reached out to Time Warner to trouble shooting, but they've not been able to provide any help, they say the connection is strong and consistent on their end. The problem - Every 30mins my internet connection will time out, this time out will last about 2 - 5 mins. Then the connection will return to normal. I am trying to install a device and somehow when it is scanning for networks, it won't detect my 5G connection, only my 2.4G connection. But when I tried to connect to the 2.4G, it keeps giving me "connection failed". I checked my password and I am sure I have it right (it is the same password as my 5G). I tried to connect to 2.4G via my computer and phone and also failed. I have powered off the modem/router and turned it back on already.
