I was told that I need to perform a factory reset on my Netgear N600, Model C3700 Modem/Router because my business VPN is being blocked. The Netgear support site tells me to find the pinhole on the back of the Modem/Router and press for 7 seconds. There is NO PINHOLE anywhere onthe unit that I can see. I realize that this is an extremely basic question, but I just cannot figure it out. The only button on the back in the On/Off.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsC6300 IP problems
I have had this modem for a few years now and it has always worked flawlessly. Today my internet provider upgaded my service and put me on a faster internet plan. Ever since then I can not access my modem/ router and the wifi does not work. The IP listed on my network connection is different from my router IP. For some reason it seems that I am connecting to the IP from my internet provider rather than my router. I can not even access my router from the routerlogin.net. Does anyone have a fix for this issue? I don't know much about networking so I am sorry for my vague and uneducated details.850Views0likes1CommentC6300 Cannot resolve host - Cannot access internet outside of bridge mode
My C6300 is just 4-5 months old and had been working great so far. I was on vacation over the long weekend and had the power to it turned off. I come back home and turn it on to no internet. Spectrum says it is my equipment. I verify that by turning it into bridge mode and connect my laptop via ethernet cable and can access the internet with no issues. I am now perplexed on next steps. It works fine in bridge mode. But cannot access anything with it off. I have reboot and reset the router multiple times. I have verified with Spectrum that I have the most recent firmware version. I can ping the DNS host that it automatically gets from the ISP just fine. Any thoughts or suggestions to help me on this?6.1KViews0likes13CommentsC6300 Router Mode Can't Be Enabled
I am having a very strange set of issues with my device. I recently bought the C6300 with the hope of simplifying my network and having a quality fast Modem Router combo. I was initially able to log on and control the router settings fine (including wifi settings and the such). As soon as the modem was set up on my Spectrum account however things got weird. I can no longer enable the router part of my device. When I log on to the settings through the web portal I now only have two buttons available (Home/Cable Connection) and only have about three buttons available in the advanced settings. Previously I had a large number of options, and I can see them briefly when the page first loads, but then they all disappear. I have tried going into Advanced - Administration - Router Mode and turning it on, but each time the router gets back on line post-restart it defaults back to being off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I don't want to have to go back to my garbage Arris modem. Thanks!1.4KViews0likes4CommentsComcast pops up when I don't have comcast internet
I recently moved to a new area. I tried to hook up my N450 to the internet, and when I do, a prompt to sign in to comcast shows up. I do not have comcast internet currently, but did in the past. I have done three full factory resets and the same box keeps popping up to sign into comcast. Is this an issue where I need to contact comcast and have them fix it? Or is there a way I can fix this without spend 7 hours on the phone?2.8KViews0likes1CommentRouter reset without print or user maual

For connecting to wifi I can't hook up to it1.9KViews0likes1CommentC3000 modem/router --> bridge connecting an AC1750
Will I loose the features of my original AC1750 if I buy my own C3000 modem/router and use that as 1st and bridge the AC1750 behind it? My home isn't tiny so I would like to use both to extend my range across different areas of the house.2.9KViews0likes1CommentCan't connect to cable modem/router; Can't access router login
so... i've been searching around and trying ideas for three hours now. nothing. after a reset, my laptop can connect to the router AND use the internet via WiFi. i was able to use the "routerlogin.net" app once or twice to change my settings back to the way they were, yet no other device would connect and it would tell me the "modem is offline". consistantly, less said times, the router will reset, my laptop will connect with default router settings, my laptop will get internet, and i will get the message that i am not connected via WiFi when attempting to access "routerlogin.net". what the heck is going on here?5.1KViews0likes3CommentsAdd a C6300 to an existing network
I have gone through many pages of current discussions and although some are similar, I can't seem to find any that are wanting to accomplish what I am trying to accomplish. Here's my ordeal. I have had my C6300 for awhile. Love it. Works great. It's current purpose is what it is meant to be. It connects all my devices (scanner/printer, label printer, external cloud, etc) and provides me with internet. I created a home group with my windows devices and was able to access anything that was connected to my router because it was connected to a desktop computer. I am moving to another home where there is already an internet connection and modem/router provided. This existing device is in a shared space where I don't want my items due to the fact that many people live in this home. My laptop, scanner/printer and label printer are all going with me to my personal space. I want to connect wirelessly to the C6300 in order to print to the printing devices while using the existing router in the home for internet. Is there a way to do this? Could I use it as a router of devices without internet? Like leave my computer connected to existing router for internet and the C6300 for devices? I have done a lot of my own troubleshooting in life but this is something that I can't conceptualize. In a perpect world, I'd like to get my C6300 to be a secondary device to the existing router at the new home. Have it push the wireless internet signal to my personal space for better reception, like a repeater, and be able to access my devices through it. Similar to an access point or a bridge. But I'm told that these two modes means no routing capabilities. Doesn't using it as a wireless access to my external devices means that it's routing something? I hope this all makes sense. Oh and the main issue is that I'm trying to find a way to accomplish this wirelessly.2.7KViews0likes1Commentconnecting NETGEAR CM1000 to Cisco DPC3825 modem/router but use DPC3825 as router
OK where to begin? My ISP is cox cable my new cable modem: Netgear CM1000 old cable modem/router: Cisco DPC3825 i recently set up my new NETGEAR CM1000 with them. it works fine and all but i dont have a router yet since im saving up for the X10. I bought the Cisco DPC3825 modem/router from Cox 3 years ago. The router would lose signal constantly, but regardless, i at least had a wireless network. So seeing as the DPC3825 is my only router at the moment, i would like to ask for anyones help on setting up the CM1000 to work with the DPC3825 and hopefully i can broadcast a wireless network without connecting the coaxial to the router. I know that the 3825 does not compare to any newer router but its all i have for the time being. i just want to connect the one ethernet cable from the CM1000 to the 3825 and run a wireless and also be able have a wan network. The only devices i ever have a wired connection into the router are ps3, ps4, and my laptop. i have 4 phones and 2 tablets. I read all about bridged mode but that option has been removed by a firmware update. at first i thought it was but i dont need the 3825 to run only as a modem. i just need it to run like a router would. I have tried to connect the modem to the router already but i get no internet connection. maybe its just not compatible. PLEASE END MY MISERY and please help so that someone who might have the same problem can read this and help them in the future. i have read countless pages but i cant find a way to have a successful wired connection from modem to router to laptop. and essentialy to ps4.3.8KViews0likes1Comment
