Hello I'm trying to enable qos on my router/modem. It is the C3000-100NAS. I believe I have the most current firmware on it. (2.02.17). It also has netgear Genie on it. From what I've found on the internet it seems I'm supposed to go to Advanced -> setup - > and then QOS setup should be under there. But it's not there. I've also tried looking underneath other tabs. Thank you for the help.1.1KViews0likes1CommentUse AC1750 Router with C3000 cable modem
I have the Netgear C3000 cable modem and Nighthawk AC1750 router. I want to use the cable modem as "modem only" mode (as it has only 2.4 Ghz router) connected to the AC1750 router (as it has both 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz bandwidths). When I set the cable modem's router option to 'No' and connect the AC1750 router with it using an ehternet cable, I do not have any internet in the AC1750 router; the interet light is red. Can someone give step by step instuctions to do that. I do not have much knowledge about all the options and their meanings in the Netgear Genie application.1.4KViews0likes1CommentC3000 modem/router --> bridge connecting an AC1750
Will I loose the features of my original AC1750 if I buy my own C3000 modem/router and use that as 1st and bridge the AC1750 behind it? My home isn't tiny so I would like to use both to extend my range across different areas of the house.2.9KViews0likes1CommentC3000 blinking green lights, no internet
Hello- please help. The other day my wifi stopped working. There were no power outages, I did not change the location of the router, or interfere with it in any way. The power light stays solid green. The upstream, downstream, and internet lights blink green for about 10 seconds, then they turn off for about 10 seconds, before blinking again. No other lights are on. No lights are amber or red. This happens whether or not the coax cable is plugged in. Resetting or moving the router to a new cable outlet does not change anything. I spent an hour on the phone with CS, who said the router is still functioning, but needed some configuration which would only take 10 minutes. However, I was going to have to commit to purchasing support service. Sorry, Netgear, I will not spend $90 (the cost of the router) in order to fix a simple issue that I did not cause. I tried a factory reset, but holding the button down for several minutes does not change the blinking lights. Can anyone provide info on how I can fix this myself? Please and thank you!29KViews0likes3CommentsC3000 Wifi Drop-off Issue
TL;DR: The wifi drops off completely and doesn't link back to the Internet at least once a day, no power issues, no connectivity issues. I have the C3000 DOCSIS 3.0 cable gateway on Comcast Xfinity, I'm not using a cable splitter or any other kind of product, my regular wifi download speed exceeds 15Mbps (occassionally goes up to 25Mbps). My wired connectivity hardly drops, but my wifi function has been malfunctioning at least once a day. A powercycle is the only way to fix this issue, and all my settings are under factory default setting, no modifications were done on the modem. Here's what I did to triage the issue: 1. Changing channels after reboot - doesn't work, every channel drops off once in a while 2. Checked power issue, please see following chart for power levels: Downstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Frequency Power SNR Correctables Uncorrectables 1 Locked QAM256 13 609000000 Hz -2.1 dBmV 41.9 dB 0 0 2 Locked QAM256 11 597000000 Hz -2 dBmV 41.9 dB 0 0 3 Locked QAM256 12 603000000 Hz -2 dBmV 41.3 dB 0 0 4 Locked QAM256 14 615000000 Hz -2.3 dBmV 41.4 dB 0 0 5 Locked QAM256 15 621000000 Hz -2.2 dBmV 41.3 dB 0 0 6 Locked QAM256 16 627000000 Hz -2.4 dBmV 41.4 dB 0 0 7 Locked QAM256 19 645000000 Hz -1.8 dBmV 41.4 dB 0 0 8 Locked QAM256 20 651000000 Hz -1.8 dBmV 41.4 dB 0 0 Upstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status US Channel Type Channel ID Symbol Rate Frequency Power 1 Locked ATDMA 73 5120 Ksym/sec 17300000 Hz 43.8 dBmV 2 Locked ATDMA 74 5120 Ksym/sec 23700000 Hz 44 dBmV 3 Locked ATDMA 75 5120 Ksym/sec 30300000 Hz 44.8 dBmV 4 Locked ATDMA 76 5120 Ksym/sec 36700000 Hz 44.5 dBmV 3. I think this somehow indicates that either the initialization (causing the system time to revert back to 1970) or the synchronizing event are the root cause of drop offs. 4. Last, you can see from the event log that it indicates a time sychronization failure, timestamp is always at 1970 since the modem was initialized back to 1970: 1970-1-1, 00:00:31 Critical (3) SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:38 Critical (3) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:62:1c:58;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:32 Critical (3) SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:39 Critical (3) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:62:1c:58;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:31 Critical (3) SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:38 Critical (3) No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:62:1c:58;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; 1970-1-1, 00:00:31 Critical (3) SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;;CM-MAC=2c:30:33:ba:b2:a8;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.0;CM-VER=3.0; In all, I think this is a quality issue. I purchased this modem through Amazon in March, and this issue has been very persistent throughout my usage. I have ruled out Xfinity issues and my connected device issues. I hope Netgear can come up with some kind of a fix to this as this is proven to be a problem for many consumers.4.1KViews0likes3CommentsN300 C3000 Wifi Stops Working / Connecting
Hi my Cable Modem / Router N300 C-3000 has a really annoying issue where after about 10 mins it stops communicating with all my devices. I called the cable company who said my signal was great (TWC) and tried setting fixed channel and factory resetting. Neither fixed it, when I run a speed test the download speed via wifi fluctuates from a few MBS to like 45 and the upload stays constant. After 10 minutes I can't connect at all unless I unplug and replug the router in I think the firmware is broken TWC said they cant downgrade it and its the latest version.3.3KViews0likes4CommentsC3000 ping issues
Recently, about every 20 minutes to an hour my ping will jump from around 30 to 600. If I restart the router/modem the ping will go back to normal, but not until then, so I know it is a problem with the C3000 and not something with my ISP. Also I get a large ping spike once around every 30 seconds where my ping will spike to 600 and then return again. I had this router/modem since May and it has just recently started doing this. Any idea for a solution?2.5KViews0likes1CommentIntermittent wireless Internet drops
Model: C3000 Firmware: V2.02.08 OS: OSX 10.11.6 I'm having an increasingly technically issue where my wireless connection drops and all my connected devices are not able to connect to the Internet. First, all the modem/wireless lights remain green and I stay connected to the network however when I disconnect from wifi and attempt to reconnect I'm prompted to enter my wifi password and it comes back incorrect. The only way to resolve the issue is to manually restart the router and everything is fine. I've changed the wireless settings to manually connect to the best wireless channel and I've disabled Access Control to ensure there's no devices being blocked. It's getting frustrating as this issue is happening my frequently. It used to be every 2-3 days now its several times a day. Please help! Edit: I've pulled the event logs and I'm seeing DoS attack? How can I stop this? Recently bought C3000 Cable Gateway (Time Warner ISP) have changed my router name, password, and channel, but otherwise using default settings. I've reached out to Time Warner to trouble shooting, but they've not been able to provide any help, they say the connection is strong and consistent on their end. The problem - Every 30mins my internet connection will time out, this time out will last about 2 - 5 mins. Then the connection will return to normal. The signal indicator remains strong and connected during the drop out. I would appreciate any help, guidance, and troubleshooting!2.7KViews1like3Comments
