Can not use Orbilogin.com with Orbi RBR50

I have an Arris DG1670A cable modem/router. The 5GHz and 2.4GHz wireless signals are OFF, the Firewall is OFF, and the NAT is set to BRIDGED. I've confirmed with my ISP provider that these are the appropriate settings so the device will act as a straight modem.

I have an Orbi RBR50 connected to the modem as my router. Everything is fine except I can not connect to orbilogin.com, orbilogin.net, 192.168.1.1, or 10.0.0.1. I've tried wireless and direct wired connections, to all the LAN ports - no luck.

My firewall is OFF and my anti-virus is OFF.

Interestingly, when I am connected to the Orbi router via a wire, I CAN connect to my modem (192.168.100.1:8080) through the Orbi.

Note: I have tried three different Cat 6 cables - all of which I know work because I've done networking projects with them recently.

The weirdest thing is that I CAN connect to orbilogin.com through my cell phone and a second computer via wi-fi.

So for some reason my main computer isn't seeing orbilogin.com

Any ideas why my computer cannot connect to the orbi dashboard?

I am using Windows 10.  The orbi is updated with the latest firmware.

Basically, you need to determine the IP address of your Orbi router, then connect directly to that address from a web browser.

It's possible some things are misconfigured if orbilogin.com isn't working though.

When you connect to Orbi via a wire, what IP address is assigned to your device?

I know you said Orbi is connected "as your router" but is Orbi set in router mode or AP mode?

Which device is set to allocate IP addresses on your network--Orbi or your Arris?

Can you log into the Arris and see a list of attached devices and get the IP address of Orbi that way?

If you run "ipconfig" in a windows command window on a PC wired to Orbi what do you see under Ethernet.  It should be somethign like this. If Orbi is your router, it's IP address will be listed under Default Gateway.

    Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

       Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : XYZ.com
       Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : XXXXXXXX
       IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.130
       Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
       Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

      Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi:

      Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
      Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : XXXXX
      IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.8
      Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
      Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

So my device is connect as 192.168.1.8,

      The orbi is at 192.168.1.1.

If I go to that address - nothing (on my main machine), but if I go to it on my phone or other computer it shows the Orbi dashboard.

The Orbi is in router mode.

The Orbi is set to allocate IP addresses, the Arris has those options grayed out because it is in bridged mode.

The Arris does not show any devices attached (bridging should just pass through the network packets).

The IP Address of the Orbi is a real world IP.

Also - I have internet access, so it is working.  I just can't connect to the dashboard from this laptop.

Also - I have a network printer at 192.168.1.5, and I can get to its dashboard.

I have a network storage device at 192.168.1.2 and I can get to its dashboard.

Everything is working, just can't get to the Orbi dashboard!

Thanks.  That helps.  You said your other devices can reach Orbi at http://192.168.1.1.  So, this sounds like an issue with your one laptop and not an Orbi issue.

You said you can get to 192.168.1.5 and 192.169.1.2, but you didn't specify if that was from the problem laptop or from your other devices.

      Hello Robertmurray

How large of a space are you trying to cover and how may orbi satellites do you have? also have you tried to find the best wireless channel or played with the placement of your units?
