wireless on RBR50 connected to FIos ONT not working properly
Just had Verizon Fios installed 5 days ago. We have a ONTbox with cable connected to Orbi RBR50. The internet was going in and out, so I had verizon reset the network for us. Smart TV connected by ethernet is stable now. 21 wireless out of 38 devices are connected by wifi. Most of our smart Kasa light switches are not connecting, 2 out of 3 ecobee thermostats are not connecting, some alexas are not connecting and a smart tv. Verizon is telling me the wifi on Orbi isn't working well. I've tried calling Netgear customer service many times now, only to have call dropped after about 1 hour of waiting each time. pls help.

Did you reboot the Orbi router, after Verizon reset the ONT? Also you may have to go to each regulr and smart device, that is having an issue and reconnect.

Yes, rebooted the router. Looks like I'll be buying a new router.

Sorry to have slept through the discussion..... I am stuck on the question, "How do we know the devices will not connect?"
Orbi "app"?
Orbi web interface Attached Devices?
or.... the IoT device management app cannot control them?
Does the new Fios broadcast WiFi?

It would help to have some more context. Which came first? (Fios or Orbi?)
i.e. "everything worked great" connected to Orbi and you changed ISP's from something else to Fios, or "everything worked great" connected to something else, Fios came in, and then Orbi was installed?

Orbi came first. We had optimum cable intenet before with orbi. Everything connected fine, occasional internet drops with the storm which is acceptable. Changed service because monthly bill went up by 100% and they wouldn't/ didn't want to lower it. Once we installed fios, we're having these problems.

One possible difference is that a lot of "cable" system modems are "just plain modems" where the public IP address is passed through to the user's WiFi router. Fios may be more typically a "router", which gives the WiFi router a private IP address. One thing is for certain: the public IP address will change when changing ISP's.
Just to confirm:
- "Nothing changed" on the Orbi? Same WiFi name (SSID) and password as before?
- The Orbi web interface "Attached Devices" or the Orbi "app" do not show these devices as connected?

What FW version is currently loaded on the orbi system?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).One User Experience/Configuration:
