Firmware update 1.0.0.44 Fails

An onscreen prompt appears advising "A router firmware upgrade is available".

 

Attempting to update the firmware from Netgear server continually results in:

"Downloading and updating the language table"

Followed by error : "Failed to update GUI language file "

 

Firmware update details:

Current GUI Language Version: 1.0.0.32_2.1.38.3
New GUI Language Version: 1.0.0.44_2.1.38.3
Current Firmware Version 1.0.0.32
New Firmware Version 1.0.0.44_1.0.60

Release Notes:
1. [Bug Fix] Fixed security issue.
2. [Bug Fix] Fixed security issue.

  • I have the same issue and nothing changes the failed outcome on any browser. Waiting "patiently" for a fix from Netgear

  • Same issue here.

    Mine has also been running the fan lately and dropping to very slow connection speeds.

  • I too am having this issue and have been for several months. Fails to install the language file from the new firmware 1.0.0.44_1.0.60 via auto update. I am unable to do a manual update as the Firmware for these smart cradles are nowhere to be found for download.

        Hello Blanca,

         

        Yes the update worked successfully and I am now at V1.0.042_1.0.60

         

        Thanks for your help getting that resolved.

    The current firmware that you have is already the updated / correct firmware V1.0.0.42_1.0.60. The previous firmware version was v1.0.0.32.

      Blanca_O If this is Solved as you say, then why is my modem saying their is an update still but when checked it says no update, please refer to attachment, clearly this is still an issue.

      May I please have the device SKU? It can be checked on their end by checking the box of the product, on the barcode label, which should indicate DC112A-xxxxxx.

    A new version has been found. Do You want to upgrade to the new version now?

    Current Firmware Version 1.0.0.34

    New Firmware Version 1.0.0.44_1.0.60

     

    I try updating and get:

    Downloading and updating the language table, please wait for approximate one minute…

     

    Followed by:

    Failed to update GUI language file

     

    Where is the standalone firmware file so we can update manually?

        I'm having the same issue. Says upgrade available. I'm at 1.0.0.34. Can't download the language file and fails. Mine is a DC112A-100NAS.
