MR6500-1TLAUS Missing Reboot /Restart icon.

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone here using Telstra Nighthawk  M60 Pro with firmware  NTGX65_12.01.41.00_00 is missing the "Reboot/Restart" functionality ?

Had and OTA update last year from NTGX65_12.01.38.00_00 to NTGX65_12.01.41.00_00 (latest) and noticed it went missing.

Been waiting for a firmware update from Telstra which never came and wondering if anyone here is running firmware much more latest than mine.

Thanks

  • Did you find a solution? I have firmware version NTGX65_12.01.48.00 for my Netgear MBR6500 Nighthawk Hotspot, and the reboot has also been removed by Netgear when accessing via browser. There is no other way to reboot it without physically touching it.

Negative. I've been having to resort to physically reboot the device. Telstra technical support could Not assist and directed me to this community for assistance.
Lesson learn Not to buy from ISP or Netgear for any networking device moving forward. Good luck.

My Netgear Nighthawk MBR6500 Hotspot (used for home internet) has had its restart option removed just recently (see image). This was noticed this past month.

        Firmware version NTGX65_12.01.48.00.

I need this restart option to remotely restart this device when we are aware from the home I connect to a windows device on same home network remotely (chrome remote desktop), then use web browser access to the netgear nighthawk hotspot and click restart. )

Why is Netgear removing our restart options? Is this so they can sell/push their new Insight Pro for Mobile Hotspot subscriptions, which provides the ability to remotely manage your Netgear devices (for $$ of course). That is pretty shady.

Take the battery out and power it up via usb c cable and try it then. Yes, when the battery is in then the reboot button is there. When the battery is out and powered strictly by the wall plug in, it is not there.

  • The MR6500-1TLAUS, also known as the Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro, has been reported to have a missing reboot or restart icon, particularly when operating on USB-C power without the battery installed.

This issue has been addressed in firmware update NTGX65_12.01.53.00, which restores the missing reboot button under these conditions.

To resolve this problem, it's recommended to update your device's firmware to the latest version.

If the reboot icon remains missing after the update, you can perform a factory reset as an alternative method to reboot the device.

Here is the process to reset the device:

    1. From the home screen, select Settings.

    2. Select Options.

    3. Select Factory Reset.

    4. Select Reset Now.

    5. Select Continue.

This is great to hear the issue was acknowledged and the reboot option will be put back. I currently have NTGx65_12.01.48.00 firmware. I checked for updates and it says current software is up to date. Because this is associated with ATT network, I am at the mercy of them making that firmware version available for their customers.
Has anybody with ATT branded M6 Pro out there received the NTGX65_12.01.53.00 firmware update yet?
