Advice on Suitable replacement of Netgear Prosafe GS748TPS Switches
Evening folks. I have two GS748TPS's in a home environment that have done super work the last 12+ years. But they got water damaged recently and are approved for replacement by the insurance company.
I had in mind to replace with GS752TPPv3's. We use PoE for cameras and RJ45 for TV's, Sonos music boxes, PC's etc. But then looking at the Netgear support web site, it says these units are end of life/discontinued?
I'm interested in what model is the successor to the GS752TPPv3's in Netgear's catalog .... it doesn't jump out at me. Anyone have any info on that please?
Or indeed what might a sensible product be to replace the GS748TPS's in general? Ease of use, low noise (the 748's are very noisy) and solid reliable PoE.

Double check you are really looking at the curent v3 version.
Hi there, yes it's the V3 product. Although I have to confess I do not know what differentiates that from the V2. I just optioned for what I thought was the latest version.
Is it the case that the V3 is a current model? Would be good if it were as it's the one I've been planning in for ages.

Still guessing where you might have spotted some indication that v3 model should be EOL.

Yes, the GS752TPPv4 is still current.
Perfectly understand such network switches are an investment for at least a decade for most of us - and these can luckily be operated much longer.
