Can a managed switch be used as unmanaged?

The default config of these switches is all in a single VLAN (technically #1), however the orts are configured to be associated with VLAN 1, PVID 1 - so the basic L2 behavior is very similar to an unmanaged switch.
Figure out on how the CRS312-4C+8XG-RM ports are configured.

Turns out the Netgear managed switch XS708T was not able to retrieve an IP address from Mikrotik after several factory resets and attempts at configuration with support.
RMA has been issued and a new managed switch will be tested: XS712Tv2.
