GSM7224v2 loses configuration after power outage
As topic title says - this unit (new to me but secondhand) loses it's configuration after a power cycle.
I don't see any button cell within the unit for volatile memory backup. Surely configuration lives in non-volatile storage?
Am I being dumb and missing something?
- Hi neidlo
Welcome to the community!
Yes configuration lives in non-volatile memory, when it's saved. Until it is saved, it is in RAM only.
When you configure the switch, it is not saved automatically. Are you using Web Interface (GUI)? A Save button should do it.
Please let us know if this was the burden or not

Thanks for the swift reply. I am using the WEB gui to make basic changes (admin password, unit's IP address) and using the SAVE button on the page.
So how do I get the unit to reload this after a power outage?

Doh!
I wasn't actually saving the configuration, only 'Apply' ing it... Now sorted and working :-)
Thank you for your very valuable time.
