GSM7224V2 fails to boot

Hi,

I have a GSM7224 V2 switch and am trying to reset it to original unconfigured state. Howevr it completely fails to boot. When it is powered on the power LED quickly goes solid green (meaning all good) but all the link lights stay on yellow and just don't go off.

After connecting a serial cable to the console, I get only this when powering on:

NetGear Boot code......
Version 01.00.12 04-14-2011

CPU Card ID:   0x608245

Then nothing ever happens.

Perhaps the firmware is lost, or corrupted? How can I load in a firmware from tihs state?

It seems the flash is corrupted and so it is being returned for a replacement. No way to fix this otherwise it seems.

  Thanks, they are both good articles that I hadn't found, but they only apply if the switch can boot to a menu. Mine is not giving me the menu. It powers on and gives me a short message (as per my first post) and then stops. No menu is ever presented.

    I suggest you to open an online case with NETGEAR Support at anytime. Let them know what happened to your GSM7224V2 switch for further assistance. If ever the device hardware is found faulty, then please be ready to submit a soft copy of the Proof of Purchase or Sales Invoice of your device for warranty verification via the online case. If the hardware warranty is still valid, then an online replacement will follow.
