gsm7248v1 unable to reset
I followed the instructions here: http://support.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9665
I even held the reset key down for 30 secs after re-plugging the switch.
I have tried admin/password or admin/1234 but I just can't login as admin.
Other than using the serial port (which I no more have a computer with RS-232, and USB-RS232 adapters don't work properly), is there any other way?
Or, am I doing something wrong?

Plus... nulll cables. if you still have that came with switch..
this is not same model but here some you would expect to do in console

you should follow up on GSM manual but you need to console access .. that is quite must for most switched to repair the issues .. - adem0xAspirantOh, I have heard of USB-Serial adapters alright. I already own 2 of them: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-26886-Serial-Adapter/dp/B000067RVJ/ http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Serial-Converter-TU-S9-Blue/dp/B0007T27H8/ They have, in my case, turned out to be hit-and-miss gadgets. Please don't get me going and turn this thread into a debate on USB-Serial adapters. What I really would like is whether these switches are known to fail to be reset to factory defaults; what sort of workaround is there to get them reset again. And, I would really really appreciate to know is if there are ways of doing this without having to resort to USB-Serial adapters.
- jmizoguchiVirtuosoUse console to reset. You cannot do without using console
