GSM7324 Upgrade Help
I have a GSM7324 and need to upgrade the firmware form 2.0.1.12 and untimely to 6.3.3.6 if possible. I’m looking for the upgrade path and the software needed. Thanks.

- kofiAspirantThe release notes you mention explicitely tell about config migration 3.x and 4.x. I didn't see a mentioning saying it couldn't upgrade from 2.x. So I'd days there is some hope.
Even so things are a bit risky, if it's a production switch and / or your only one to try, leave as is. If you are doing this for your own fun and are OK with risk of frying your switch, you have been told of the risks...
I doubt your switche already had dual firmware, 8.0 is the oldest I've access to, the command to check dual firmware status is 'bootvar'. If you have dual firmware, the risk is considerably lower as you have a fallback in case if issues.
An interesting, yet old KB entry tells you that even migrating from 2.x to 3.x required a factory reset (!)
Thus factory-resetting the box (after backing your current text config!) you migt go to 5.x, then 6.x this way and redo one by one your old config. I wouldn't import your 2.x-based config as the KB suggests.
As long as the bootloader is OK there is still the possibility of flashing the firmware via xmodem from the the bootloader (the linked KB shows a picture with the bootloader menu which contains XMODEM oper. code upload).
XMODEM restore is slow but is known as last resort for routers/switches from a "big C****" company (syntax looks similar) to put back into system with a flash gone wrong. Provided that the flash rom is still doing OK.
And to reiterate: Be caucious and think twice (maybe even 3 times) before bricking your switch. You've been warned.
