m4300-16x Fan Interrupts messages in memory log

I Have a number of wifi access points connected to an M4300-16X switch.
The accesspoints are reporting drops in connectivity to the switch randomly.

I see in the event log an error message:

<13> Mar 1 08:58:56 192.168.0.1-3 BSP[unitMgrTask]: cpu_boxs.c(2086) 279403 %% FAN Module interrupt received on the unit 3

The M4300-16X is Switch 3 in the stack, so I am guessing this is "UNIT3" as mentioned in the error message.

Is this just a debug message or an actual info/error ?

/Anthony

      BaldwinA,

So the access points drop when this error message shows? I can see that your fans are failing on your switch. It is possible that the switch reaches the max temperature when the fans failed and it automatically shuts down the port of the AP in order to cool it down. Please contact our support team immediately so that we can do a hardware check and verify these logs.

        John,

        Thanks for the response.
I updated the Firmware version on the stack 48hrd ago to 12.0.15.7

The error message has now disappeared....

The device is repoerting a temp of 46'c which is less than some of the 4300-24x boxes at 60'c

I am monitoring this to see what happens after the update.
