m4300 stack-port errors

Hi,

we have a stack with 4 m4300-24x24F switches.

in the log files there are many (every minute) errors related to the stack ports ("errors detected on stack-port" and "Multiple consecutive errors detected on stack port").

what can be the problem?

regards

Frank

  • Hi knarfer

This is likely a problem with either the stacking cable or modules (if you use SFP ports for the stacking).

What stacking connection are you using?

    Thanks

        Hi again,

In almost all instances, stack-port errors is a cause of either bad cables or bad modules. I suggest you reach out to support and let them have a look. If these are Netgear modules, they can look into an RMA if needed.
