misplaced software, new computer
Purchased a new computer, but cannot find my netgear software. Will the firmware for my model be enough to connect, or do I really need the original software? If so, does netgear allow downloading ...

NETGEAR software most of the time just contain a wizard that wil walk you through setting up the product. If you are using a router and/or a switch that is already working on the network, there is no need a software for your new computer as it just needs to be plugged in to one of the LAN ports.
Let us know the product you have and your network setup, I checked your records and just found WGR614v9.
