NMS300 and ReadyNas 4220

We are using NMS300 1.5.0.11 and added 3 ReadyNas 4220 (with Firmware 6.4.2) as devices. We left the SNMP to public and added the devices with SNMP Default Credentials. After the discovery the "Device Type" in NMS are shown as "Unknown".

Has anyone had similar experiences and can confirm this behavior.

    Hi leonistuder,

    Welcome to the community! :)

Currently, I do not have an RN4220.  However, let us try to isolate the problem.  Kindly answer the questions below:

    a. Have you enabled SNMP on your RN4220 as well as downloaded the MIB of it?

    b. On the NMS300, go to RESOURCES > DEVICE CREDENTIALS.  Have you tried to edit the device credential then on the Protocol Menu, select SNMPv3 for the RN4220?

I look forward to your response.  As well as you may want to consider using NMS300 v1.5.0.14 then check if same problem occurs.

    Regards,
