NMS300 external file server settings
Hello, I am asking for help setting up the external file server on NMS300. A previous post had all the same symptoms as myself but the post closed.
When I try and test the connection to the external file server it says it "Fails to connect to extrenal file server. Check settings".
I have tried every combination of IP, hostname, sharename, folder\folder and folder/folder format, and am now losing it!
The documentation does not help.
I am using Windows 10 fully updated, updated NMS and Firewalls on both NMS PC and external backup PC allowing TFTP FTP Telnet and Syslog ports through.
Anyone out there had similar problems and actually solved it?

Also I should have added that I can share and access the folder I am trying to access from the PC holding the NMS no problem, and have included a AD user as admin for the NMS that can write to the folder and logging into NMS as it. So the Windows10 side is good.
Still all variants ask me to check external server setting. Hope that little extra info helps.

As per checking, you can access the Share folder but the NMS300 is having issues connecting to that folder. We might need to take a look at it and have a case open on NETGEAR support. Please let them know what is happening.
You can also try to change the admin rights of the folder to "Everyone" in order for the whole network to see it. Please share some screenshots too.
