NMS300 and S3300
Dear Community,
I have installed NMS300 (latest) and discovered some devices, also created new device credentials. It is working so far except one issue, maybe it is config related.
My S3300-52X-PoE+ is detected in Device Discovery but not added to inventory. Current device status is "Some stack member is empty" stated in NMS Device Discovery Results. Device name, IP address and model is displayed also.
Is it possible to add devices only in "clean" state? It is not mentioned in the manual.
Thanks in advance,
Raphael
Ok, now it works.
What I have done:
- Connecting all stack members
- Started discovery
Maybe it should be noted in the documentation, the discovered switch must have status "clean" to be added to inventory.
Thanks for support!
Best regards.

Hi virtualnobody,
Welcome to the community! :)
Let us isolate the problem. It seems that you need to do a Regular Discovery method and that might help. Kindly check page 29 onwards of the NMS300 User Manual here.
Kindly post a screenshot of the error message as well.

Thanks for your reply!
I did a regular discovery, created a new discovery profile leaving all default values except network type which is set to Single IP matching the switch IP.
Executing this profile leads me to same results, the switch is not shown in inventory.
Adding custom credentials to the profile does not help either. Added HTTP, HTTPS and Telnet credentials (actually HTTP is in use when connecting via webinterface) to the profile but still same result.
Other devices (switches and routers) are discovered the same way and they were placed in inventory.
I will try discovering another S3300-28X-POE+ tomorrow.
Best regards.
