For me, it would be best that you just use your router+wifi box as an Access Point since the NVG589 is a modem-router device. Is your router+wifi box a Netgear device? If yes, what is the model number of it?
Regarding the setup of your NVG589, you might need to contact your ISP for assistance if ever the NVG589 is provided by your ISP.
Is your GS716T and GS108T a v1 or v2 or v3 and so on? What is the current firmware version of each?
