Uplink configuration with AX742 module

Hi all,

can I configure with Netgear AX742 a uplink port also or is it only for stacking? I asking because we've two Netgear switches which are not compatible for stacking regarding the used firmware.

Thanks,

Michael

  • Hi DaneA,

after a discussion with Netgear support, it's not possible to use it for uplinks. There is no ethernet standard implemented.

        Hi michael1io,

Thank you for sharing this relevant information here in the community.  Now its clear that the AX742 module is not possible to be use for uplinks because it does not have an Ethernet standard.

        Cheers,
