VLAN Trunk

This should be easy but.... I'm trying to set up a simple vlan trunk from my Netgear GS308T (on current firmware) to an HP Procurve switch. I'm using the NETGEAR Switch as an access switch for the VL...

Post the graphic config of the Netgear switch (complete) so we can look into it.

Same for the HP Procurve switch a d port config. The terminology is similar on all brands.

Scrap the term clan connecting - it's always a physical making the connection including the untagged VLANs plus the tagged frames transporting the VLAN frames.

Ok Here you go ---- the Netgear:

And the Procurve:

Note that Port 8 on the Netgear is cabled to Port 15 of the Procurve.

Also note that I have tried establishing PVID 100 on the Netgear as it is in the Procurve. The picture provided shows PVID 1 on the Netgear but as I said I have attempted this using PVID 100 with no success.

Also show the VLAN Port config where the details are visible if it's [T]agged [U]ntagged on the Port level.

It's not about guessing if it's VLAN 1 or VLAN 100 you need a plan what you want to configure ob the switch (VLAN numbers) and what you need in the port. Don't be confused about th different vebdor defaults.

  So here is more detail as to the Vlan configuration on the Procurve. I do not need access to VLAN 20 on the Netgear switch.
  The other note that may help, there are other Procurve switches, with similar configurations, passing all the the VLANs via port 16 of this switch
