Cannot get LAG working on XS708T
I am trying to set up my XS708T with Link Aggregation so that my two Mac computers can have a dual 10 GbE — or 20 GbE connection to each other across my network. Both computers have 2-port 10GbE network cards that are connected to the Netgear switch and I have created the LAG memberships in the Netgear config page.
Unfortunately when I plug in the second Ethernet cable to the switch, I lose internet connection and also cannot mount drives over SMB between the two computers.
I have been told this could have something to do with my router, which is an Asus RT-AX89X. The 10GbE port on this router is connected to the Netgear switch and that all works fine. It’s just the LAG on the Netgear switch that isn’t working.
Has anyone run into this problem? Any advice?

UPDATE: got this working!
SOLUTION: Needed to create a bonded connection on the Mac side (https://www.iclarified.com/72670/how-to-set-up-ethernet-link-aggregation-on-your-mac) and also turn on LACP in the Netgear settings for each LAG. That got it working!

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the LAN Switch products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Switch products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
