GS108LP PoE Not working

We are a IIoT device manufacturer, our gateway is PoE Class 1. One of the customer has GS108LP but couldn't power the device.
Just bought the same GS108LP and test it. I found that the GS108LP never complete the detection phase and move forward to the classification phase. I did the measurement on the output of the rectifier circuit of the PoE using oscilliscope.

The voltage is oscillating between 2-5.9V as see in the picture below.

The device already installed with lots of customers and they use the PoE with other vendors normally.

Our device spec: consumption ~ 1W, voltage 37-57. It follows the PoE standard IEEE802.3at. It uses the MP8007 PoE controller. The same reference design is used.

Any idea why this switch don't support this standard device procedure?

  • Something you might contact NG support about.

Check a different model GS series switch that has PoE support to compare results.

Ensure any FW on the switch, if available, is up to date.
