JGS524PE Webinterface can not be accessed from another subnet
Hello Everyone,
I am having an issue with my new JGS524PE switch.
The situation is as follows:
There are two sites, that are connected to the internet.
On each Site, there is a Raspberry Pi, to build an OpenVPN-Tunnel between the two sites.
There is no NAT set up for the VPN and I've entered the static routes into both Gateways (AVM Fritz!Box 7590).
The VPN is working fine and I can reach any Device from both sites, except for the Netgear switch.
I can neither reach the webinterface, nor does the switch respond to ping echo requests.
I've already tried to add all the involved Subnets (including the OpenVPN tunnel network) to the ACL via the webinterface, but this also did not help.
What is strange though, is, that when I set the gateway of the switch to the IP-Address of the VPN gateway, the switch responds to pings, but the webinterface remains unreachable (IP of the Gateway/Router: 10.0.0.1, IP of the VPN-Gateway: 10.0.0.201).
On my Linux Laptop I noticed, that the Fritz!Box sends an ICMP-Redirect whenever I try to ping a remote client. Maybe the switch can not handle ICMP-Redirects correctly?
I think that this might be a software bug, but maybe I just configured something wrong.
I hope I've described the situation clearly enough and that someone maybe has an Idea. (This is my first post)
In case of a software bug, I think I'll have to contact Netgear Support, but whenever I try to do that, the Live-Chat is unavailable.
