Thank for having provided the MIBs. However I am sorry to say that having to wait a day for getting informations that should be available for self-service download is a no go not only for business grade switches. Providing them via PM and seen the number of times this already happened in the past confirms this to be the policy. This did block my work.
Despite the fact that some switches at netgear do have MIB download available in the support area, we have scheduled the Netgear switches for replacement by another brand now. I don't want to select a switch and then have to chgeck if adequate downloads are available. This will also save us from having to use private MIBs for objects that should have been implemented using public MIBs (like STP).
Best regards,
Gaston

I have marked your reply as accepted solution, and I hope with you that the community will benefit from this. But as said, for me it is time to move on. However for anybody who may read this in the future I should leave some words of explanation.
I want to clarify that from my point of view Netgear is delivering very products when it comes to prics to feature/quality ratio. When I say I do move on to another manufacturer this is true, but I am also changing the "league". So if you are looking for well priced high featured devices not looking at the last detail you may well be at the correct place here.
I do also want top leave a few words about the support. Even though my last support ticket is a few years old I have to say that (at least at that time) I had a fantastic support experience with netgear. Especially, and this is by conincidence linked to this thread, the Netgear private STP MIB was created upon a supportz ticket I created for this purpose. It was routed with no arguing to L2 support which led to the implementation of the private SNMP MIB in a very short time. I am only a bit disapointed that the neyt step was not to implement the comon bridge MIB.
