Hi I have had this managed switch for many years. Now it is used to supply POE for a number of CCTV cameras only. The typical power usage.... can be seen above. The software / firmwa...

Have you swapped around what is connected to port 6 with a different PoE device to see if same thing happens with a different device connected to port 6?
Swap out LAN cabling? CAT6 would be recommended.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been tried?

Thanks. External grade CAT 6 cabling used throughout. Devices swapped and POE switch factory reset.
I gave up with that POE Switch now, it was becoming redundant due to its low overall power output compared to what now can be bought.
To replace it is a Netgear GS308EPP switch with an overall 123w capacity.
The venerable previous switch will be retired from POE usage.
In some ways the information offered from the UI of the newer switch is worse than that of the older one...!
Newer is not always better, in every way...!
Thanks again for your reply.

Hello Vimes,
If you are pertaining to the features of your new switch, then this is because the GS308EPP is a Plus switch which has less features compared to the GS110TPv2 which is a Smart managed switch.
Have a lovely day,

Thanks. Whilst I can appreciate the product segmentation, there has been a long time between the production of the previous model and that of the one I have just bought to replace it with.
Putting aside differences in other areas I'll just comment on the POE side...
Albeit written in Java, that failed to work and was not address in the previous model due to security (?) issues with the old version used, it was great to have a pictorial representation of the ports, connections and power etc.
You also would get information on the total threshold power, and then the power used overall in watts.
So far I can't see a way to show the cumulative power used by the latest model across all ports. Just a way to gather information myself of the wattage used on each port and then need to add these together.
They are both managed switches, but I could not find anything being sold by Netgear being available in the same class and total power output similar to the one I bought.
Thanks again for your reply.
