Thanks. Whilst I can appreciate the product segmentation, there has been a long time between the production of the previous model and that of the one I have just bought to replace it with.
Putting aside differences in other areas I'll just comment on the POE side...
Albeit written in Java, that failed to work and was not address in the previous model due to security (?) issues with the old version used, it was great to have a pictorial representation of the ports, connections and power etc.
You also would get information on the total threshold power, and then the power used overall in watts.
So far I can't see a way to show the cumulative power used by the latest model across all ports. Just a way to gather information myself of the wattage used on each port and then need to add these together.
They are both managed switches, but I could not find anything being sold by Netgear being available in the same class and total power output similar to the one I bought.
Thanks again for your reply.

Hello Vimes,
Thank you for the comment. I checked this but I did not see any Plus switch that has Device View and Consumed Power information on the UI. On the other hand most if not all of the Smart switches has this. You may want to check the GS510TPP — 8-Port Gigabit High Power PoE+ Smart Switch with 2 SFP Ports (190W).

Thanks, it seems that it was my lack of understanding that a 8 port plus switch that is listed as a current model in 2024 would not be able to show the totalised POE power draw within its POE page, cumulatively.
As noted, I understand product segmentation, between ranges, but I did not think that such basic information would be omitted within the Plus range.
I'll consider what I will do with that switch, thanks again for your information. It does save me time looking at options within that range.
