Hi I have had this managed switch for many years. Now it is used to supply POE for a number of CCTV cameras only. The typical power usage.... can be seen above. The software / firmwa...

Albeit written in Java, that failed to work and was not address in the previous model due to security (?) issues with the old version used, it was great to have a pictorial representation of the ports, connections and power etc.
Not really a switch or a Java version issue: The support for the NPAPI/PPAPI plugins was removed from all browser over time since the late 2010 years.
Newer Netgear switches use a HTML5 implementation for this purpose.

I remember at the time that it was a very real issue for myself, and others who commented that their Netgear devices, other models also affected, were compromised due to that Java issue.
Netgear did not / could not rewrite the code at that time to accommodate any differences that could bring that level of functionality back.
This new model. GS308EPP works well and, probably, will suit my needs, especially considering the cost.
My point of it not presenting the totalised wattage used across all the ports withing in the POE main section is a valid and reasonable comment. Altho Netgear's product segmentation will probably preclude that.
Research by myself might have been better, but I found information regarding that specific desire to be somewhat lacking.
I'll see what I'll do.

There are some more omissions on the newer Netgear Smart Managed "T" (models is absence of SNMP not the Plus, "E" models)
Netgear has stopped supporting the previously perfelcty working Netgear Private SNMP MIB (the switches part), where the current PoE power draw (long with some of the fiber module informtion) used to be included.

I ended up returning the GS510TPP switch and replaced it with a TP-Link TL-SG1016PE model. That provides all the information in the UI I need, including the ability to ping my IP cameras regularly and reboot them if they are unresponsive, and many other useful features.
The GS510TPP POE switch is decent enough, just lacking in function and information that I would have liked associated with the POE function.
