Re: Faulty performance specs on MS510TXUP ?

An addition...

Most competitive brands have 10 times or more packet forward rate than this (related to the same amount of aggregated ports total bandwidth). Most other Netgear switches also have much more forward packet rate than this particular switch in relation to the aggregated port bandwidth. That was why I asked if this was really true as it could be a huge bottleneck.

As an example, a simple XS1930 zyxel 10 port 10Gbe switch has 178 Mpps whereas this Netgear switch has 14.8 Mpps. Almost 13 times more on the Zyxel. And as said before, smaller Netgear switches than this have MUCH more forward packet rate.

I still think and guess it is a typo in the spec sheet. I can simply not believe it is true it's this low on this switch ! Otherwise I don't see any reason at all to buy this switch with its limitations. I love Netgear switches, but this one stands out with its limited spec.

    Hi peos42,

Thanks for your feedback and for trusting the NETGEAR brand.

I am checking with our Engineering team and will probably hear from them next week.

    Kind regards,
