Setup a uplink port with Netgear ProSAFE GS108E
I have purchased a Netgear ProSAFE GS108E for my soho.
I have a Buffalo AP/Router/Switch in one room and I have CAT5 running into my office, about 200 feet in length. I want to change one of the ports to an uplink port and then from there, the switch can connect other devices, such as a NAS, Network Printer and Computers.
I don't see a way to do this, maybe I purchased the wrong device or I'm going about this incorrectly?
thanks

Welcome to our community!
In the GS108E all the ports can work automatically as an uplink without any configuration, so you just need to connect any of the ports of the GS108E to the Buffalo Router and later on connect any of the devices that you described ( NAS, Network Printer, Computers) to the GS108 or to the Buffalo router.
Hope that it helps
