Spanning Tree Issue on GS752TS
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have two GS752TS switches in a LAN with six GS752TPv2 switches. All on latest firmware. I have them all configured for RSTP but when cabling up in a loop the network grinds to a halt. I have narrowed it down to the two GS752TS switches - a loop with these causes the issue where a loop with just the GS752TPv2 switches works fine with spanning tree doing its job.
Under STP, the two GS752TS switches all list every interface as role: disabled and status as manual forwarding - this doesn't sound correct. Alternatively, the GS752TPv2 all say Designated under role and Forwarding as I would expect, with a root port specified.
Does anyone else have STP issues with GS752TS or have any insight into this? I've tried running STP and MST as well with no change. I'd like to get the network cabled up resiliently but without STP running I won't be able to do this.
Thanks

I think I've found it, seems STP is disabled by default at an interface level on the GS752TS, despite being enabled globally by default, so I just need to enable it on all interfaces. Haven't tested yet but this looks to be the issue. The GS752TPv2 is enabled per port and globally by default which is what I would expect.
