Time to renew my GS716T v3
Hi all
I have a GS716T v3 which is the main switch in my home. I got it 2nd hand about 5 years ago, so it will be older than that now.
I think it is time to replace with an up to date Poe switch.
I dont really use any of the enhanced options in the 716...I just want a very fast 16 port POe gigabit switch which is walll mountable.
What would you recommend ?
Was looking at the GS316P
Last thing I want to do is install a replacement which will have a lower throughput.

Do you need managed? If unmanaged is fine, you can still get multigig, unmanaged, and poe for a reasonable price
Are you using much for features on it? If not, why upgrade if you're only going gigabit? If you're not doing much for traffic analysis, the 716 still works fine. I'm using one in my media room with a unmanaged 2.5gig switch for those devices that are multigig. They can be picked up pretty cheap from a across the pond sites.

yes it still works fine...just a bit worried about the age of it. I would also like POE .
