There is no need to introduce a new router - your Fritz can support two networks and IP subnetwork. A beautifully documented project is shown here in the German Netgear Communty - granted, for the Plus switches admin network, you can't make use of tagged connections anyway ... as explained in depth in the linked thread already.

I had seen a setup where the FritzBox LAN4 port is used as "guest" network to achieve VLAN tagging:

but it sounds like this is not necessary in your suggested setup?

Das ist genau der richtige Ansatz - zwei physikaliche Verbindungen, jede mit einen eigenen Netzwerk. Dahinter kann man mit den VLANs dann anstellen was man will. Wenn man zwei (oder mehr) SSIDs braucht um auf die verschiedenen Netzwerke zugriefen zu können benötigt man Access Points welche SSIDs und mehrere VLANs unterstützen. Die Lernkurve und die Fleissarbeit kann die Community den Mitgliedern aber nicht abnehmen.
