What happened to GS308T ?

As I'm not Netgear, I can't give you "the" answer to your question.
Looking from outside, these S350 Series models were launched to be sold into some price sensitive sales channels or markets. The GS308T came with a subset of industry leading services, stripping some features having an impact on the pricing.
The GS108Tv3 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch with Cloud Management comes in addition to the features you know from the GS308T (coming with a five-years-hardware warranty and some nn days of installation support, WebUI, SNMP, management VLAN) with
- Worry-free limited lifetime warranty (for the original buyer)
- Lifetime online technical chat support (for the original buyer)
- Next Business Day (NBD) replacement in case of a hardware failure
- Alternate to the external power supply, the ability to power over PoE
- Netgear Insight Cloud Management (one year license included)
- A streamlined, harmonized, and supported CLI
Yes, there are as of writing no other small non-PoE models in the Netgear offerings, the "bigger brother" is the GS110TPv3 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Ethernet Smart Switch with 2 SFP Ports and Cloud Management (55W) already.
