Thank you for sharing your suggestions and tips on how to use, and install quieter fans in your NETGEAR ProSafe XS switches. With that being said, please do take note that hardware and support warranty will be voided if such parts replacement has been done with your units.

I understand about the warranty part, i did it only after the warranty expired. Compared with throwing this switch in the corner of store room, i might as well revive it with something better that i can think of. So today the switch is happily working again.
I did break one of the capacitor solder leg while over drilling, but i managed to solder it back.
