specs for UDP broadcast on port 12432

My WAX214 Access Point emits UDP broadcasts into the admin lan when a client connects.
Is there a way to stop this or does a specification for data block exist?
I am assuming that it contains information on the new connection.

Please start with the exact WAX214 designation, and the exact firmware version installed  (there is the tiny WAX214, operating currently on V2.1.1.3; and he bigger sized WAX214v2, operating on V1.0.2.5 as of writing.

A small subsection of the Netgear Insight functionality might be implemented on the Netgear Business Essential Wireless Access Point models, mainly for the pure discovery.

Netgear Insight uses UDP port 12432 for device discovery. This port is used by the Insight app and cloud services to locate and identify compatible Netgear devices on the local network. It allows for seamless setup and management of devices like switches, access points, and other Insight-managed products.

  • Thank you for the hint to Netgear Insight.

    It's a WAX214 Device-Version 1.0, running firmware V 2.1.1.3 .

ErwinL can you please figure out for us old crows why any Business Essential AP like the WAC214(v1 or v2) should broadcast Netgear Insight connection data from a client association - since these are not Netgear Insight managed models?
