GS108 to GS108T but only 100Mbps between them?
Hi,
I have both a GS108 and a GS108T connected together.
The GS108 has two PCs connected, both connecting at 1Gbps.
The GS108T has 6 100Mbps devices (avr, blu-ray player etc) and a gigabit Asus router connected.
However the connection between the two switches is only showing 100Mbps?
Any thoughts on why this would be? There's only about 15m between the two switches so I don't understand why they won't connect at 1Gbps. Are there special ports on them for connecting between the two switches?
Many thanks,
Paul.

Hi probedb,
Kindly answer the questions I have summarized below:
1. Is your GS108T a v1 or v2? v stands for "version."
2. What is the current firmware version of your GS108T?
3. Are you using a CAT5e or CAT6 ethernet cable between the GS108T and GS108?
4. Have you tried using all of the ethernet ports of both GS108T and GS108 and still getting 100Mbps connection between the the two?
5. Have you tried to reboot both GS108T and GS108? Are you still getting 100Mbps connection after rebooting the two switches?
6. Have you tried to reset the GS108T back to factory defaults and still getting 100Mbps connection between the the two switches?
I will be looking forward to your response.

How very embarassing...I thought I'd checked the cable, cut the ends off and recrimped them with new connectors...and it worked. Doh.
