A couple things I'd try.
Move the switch (for testing) right next to the router. Test it off a known 6ft cable that is good.
go router---6ft cable---->switch--->device
Its always best to simplify.
See if that works.
If it does, then you know the switch is fine. Then it comes down to testing it with other devices and that cable again.
Move it back to the attic but don't connect any of your other switches/devices to it.
Test it with the 100ft cable, the switch, and a laptop. None of the other switches. See if this works.
If it does, then you can start adding in the other switches and see if ones causing a loop/issue.
If it doesn't, then replace the ends on the cable.
Reason I say this is I've seen cables that work fine when connected to laptops/pc's but were sketchy when connected to switches and when they had sketchy ends.
