How to test if my switch is bad

We had a storm last night. Now all of my electronics are down. Items connected to the router work. The router connects to the Netgear switch. Items connected to the switch do not work. Before I try to find money for a new switch, is there a way to make sure that is the issue for sure? It still powers on. Ports still light up. It doesn't seem to have bricked, but I don't seem to be moving data.

Thanks.

  • Try this

Reboot the switch turn it off and wait 30 seconds then on.

Test each port with a known good cable and device.

Reset the switch check manual for instructions

Unlikely there is one, as you talk of an unmanaged switch here.

Power LED .... you already mentioned power looks ok.

Port LED ... links and activity, as power the fine user manual or basic installation guide?
