Switch Interfering with internet connection GS108v4
Hello
I am using an unmanaged switch and I am having trouble when the switch is installed after the router/modem it is not allowing internet access. I have turned power on and off and followed all directions. The strange thing is that things hooked up to the router/modem are not getting access. I have had a different switch in this location and never had an issue and decided to go to an 8 port.

Just to clarify, you are not able to access the internet even if you connect a PC directly to the modem/router? If yes, you need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Thank you for the response but if I disconnect the switch all works fine. The switch is interfering with the connection. I can also connect other items instead of the switch and everything works fine.

The GS108v4 is a pass-through, unmanaged switch. It is strange that it interferes with the connection. Kindly double-check the physical connections on your existing network.
Is the GS108v4 directly connected to the modem/router? Or is it connected to an ethernet wall jack?
Is your modem/router a NETGEAR device? If yes, what is the model of it?
