internet connection problem between br500 and cable set top box

I connected br500 to cable set top box( internet provider).

Before connecting br500, there is no internet connection problem.

After connecting br500, i have had 3times internet connection problem.

Internet provide told me that there was internet signal problem.

but they don't know why.

I guess maybe br500 tried to depend my internet from bad guys.

Can you tell me in this case which device is cause? br500 or cable set top box.

um.. i have had the cable set top box for 1 year and there was no internet connection problem.
