Need VPN License Key Reset

Moving to a new laptop, I deinstalled my Netgear VPN Professional Client from my old laptop as instructed, but when I install it on my new laptop I could not activate it with the license key. Message response was that the license is being used on another machine and to deinstall it on that machine before activation. I have done that yet still get the message. Does it take some for the license to reset after deinstallation or do I have to ask for help here as others have done?
