Netgear firewall Fvs336g issue

so I have 3 public IPs coming in my comcast business line modem. 2 LAN ports from the modem going to 1 fvs336g on 2 separate wan connections, and the 3rd going to a 2nd fvs336g for a 3rd wan connection.

Let's say the first 2 IPs are 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2. So the network that's connected to that fsv336g is a 192.168.0/24. The 2nd fvs336g has a public IP of 1.1.1.3. And contains a 192.168.98/16 and a 192.168.99/16 network for public use computers as well as a wifi network.

The issue I'm having is that the networks on the 2nd fvs336g that has the 98/16 and 99/16 networks can't reach my web server which has a public IP of the 1.1.1.2, and is housed on the 192.168.0/24.

I made the 2nd fsv336g house the /16 networks cause we had our Public IP blacklisted cause I believe someone had a conficker worm on a public laptop they brought in. That was when our wifi network was on the 1.1.1.1 IP and on a /24 network. Anyone have any insight on what to do? Been racking my brain the last couple days for what to do. Sorry for the long post but getting ready for bed and wanna post as much details as I can. Thanks much!!
  • You don't want 2 connections coming into the FVS from the same cable modem.  Just add the additional IP in the Rules you create and remove thata second cable.

     

    /16?  Do you understand subnetting?  /16 is the entire netblock (192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255).

     

    Fix your masks and it should fix your problem.

  • You don't want 2 connections coming into the FVS from the same cable modem.  Just add the additional IP in the Rules you create and remove thata second cable.
