SRXN 3205 No ethernet but I got WiFi #25533784

Hi adit and June,

Its been a long long time guys and I hope you both are still around.

Learned today that my trusty 3205 is EOL (man .....!)

I had a bad power outage with a transformer that blew up in my back alley. The resulting EMP wave appears to have short circuited my router.

I flashed two firmware versions after resetting the router to factory defaults. Note that on factory default the ethernet works UNTIL I activate the WiFi. Suddenly the ethernet ports are no longer active. No lights, no  connectivity.

Is there a way that I could turn the ethernet ports on by CLI after telnetting to the router? It appears that when the WiFi adapter is activated, by ethernet ports get cut off.

This happens consistently. I downgraded to 3.09 and then upgraded back to 3.1.1 firmware.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello tstrike,

    Good day!

I have checked your profile on your system and you already have a support ticket. I am adding the support number to this post. Upon checking, the device is still covered by the lifetime warranty and is valid for replacement. Please perform this reset procedure below:

NOTE: You will have to press the reset button (Factory Defaults) for a total of 90 seconds.

    1. While the unit is on, push and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

    2. Continue holding the reset button and turn off the unit (by unplugging the power cable). Do this for another 30 seconds.

    3. Turn on the unit (by plugging the power cable back) , continue holding the power button for 30 more seconds.

    4. Let the router boot completely.

    5. Access UI and test Ethernet and wireless connectivity.

Once you have performed this, and still has the same issue please contact support and refer to this forum link. You should get a replacement.

Hope this helps. I'll look forward to your response.

    Thanks,

After following the directions for a power reset, my router is now COMPLETELY unusable!!! It is stuck in a reboot loop continously!!!
