FW page shows 'Updates Available'
Experiencing the same thing with WBE750 APs. Notification that FW updates are available went out and the FW page shows 'Updates Available' in some icons, but when you attempt to 'update' it just says you are on the latest version already (it's not). The manual files are not available on the downloads page either, so it's not possible to do it through the local interface. Forcing a factory reset and starting the device up from new also does not appear to make a difference (ask me how I know).
Hoping this gets sorted out within a couple of days

I am seeing the current firmware file here (11.8.0.14):

I havve the weird situation:
2 days ago version 12.5.0.13 for WAX6xx was offered for three devices. 2 upgarded fine, a third WAX630 kept failing.
Now two devices havve 12.5.0.13, the other on still has 11.8.0.10, no upgrade is offered anymore.
And to make it more special: The target firmware for all is now 11.8.0.10. No downloadable 12.5.0.13 is to be found for manual upgrade.
So what might be up?
Upgrade 12.5.0.13 retracted?

This is correct. On Jan 5, new firmware was announced for WAX610, WAX620, WAX630, WAX608Y.
Those Knowledgebase articles disappeared from the web site on Jan 7. GONE.
The obvious conclusion is that Netgear decided to "un" announce those firmware releases.
This is one of the perils of being an Early Adopter.
Might be safest to manually reinstall the 11.8.0.10 version on those two that got updated.

Yeah the announcement emails went out and the Firmware page for devices show 'Updates Available' but you can't actually update. Maybe there was a bug and they are holding it back? I was looking forward to some of the fixes in the release notes that touted bug fixes for Multi-AP deployments + channel selection optimizations. Maybe one of these days iPhone 17s will actually be able to roam on WiFi 7 as expected.

Netgear Insight is flawed in the sense that once a "newer" firmware version was ever announced (and revoked), Insight Web portal, and the Insight App, continue to state there -is- a newer firmware available, offering [Update All Devices] or [Update] by device.
Had reported this (at least) oddity several times over the years, nobody ever cared about.
Cumbersome, all my old Netgear contacts in charge and/or working on Insight, and Insight Managed Devices firmware updates are no longer working on behalf of Netgear.
For the fun of it? Today (2026-JAN-11) Insight sent out a push message to the mobile (towards the Insight App) notifying about a firmware update availability. You guessed it right - there is none. Conclude, there is some caching active of the firmware version "pushed" to the availability list.
While writing that, I'm waiting for the promised online delivery of an Insight Pro license we had ordered 0n 31-DEC-2025 with our reliable distributor
Let's see if we can wake up some Tigers or Lions herewith and bring some reactions in the community here....
Many things appears to go wrong within Netgear 8-(((((
It's a long way to go from Business to Enterprise Solutions. All that is not Enterprise class.... Hope old friend LaurentMa (sorry bothering you - I see no other way to create awareness in the Netgear middle and upper management - can push all that to the appropriate channels.
PS. The Media Upload to the Community seems to be flawed, too - so posting without a screenshot.

The official product support page still lists the 11.8.0.14 version as the latest available for the WBE750s despite these two latest versions (12.5.0.21 and 12.5.0.20) seemingly going out the door w/ email announcements but no viable way to actually use them. The release notes for the two recently released versions appear to be identical as well I am suspecting these may have bricked some devices and/or introduced some sort of problem that warranted pulling them back?

"Uuuups I did it again ..."?
Don't know what Netgear is doing these days ... after the unexpected (finally documented) removal of 12.5.0.20 and .21 -> Why was NETGEAR wireless access point v.12 firmware removed?
Netgear does continue announcing, this time 12.5.0.22, claiming again it's availability via Netgear Insight. Needless to say, neither available on Insight nor on the Netgear Support page.
And Insight does continue to state Update Available, [Update All] globally resp [Update] by device - despite the [Current Version] 11.8.0.14 and the [Targeted Version] 11.8.0.14 ...
Good mooooorning Netgear?!?

This seems like a really obvious thing for Netgear to get right: don't send out an email until the firmware is pushed to the servers for customers to get.
