Model WAX204, Is there a way to set connection timeout

I have a WiFi 6 AX1800 Dual Band Wireless Access Point
Model WAX204, Is there a way to set connection
time restrictions for 60 minutes or less, when the device is used as an access point (wireless).

  • Hello bmaliken,

There is no option in WAX204 to limit the connection time. You may want to consider the WAC5xx and WAX6xx series where you can use captive portal to set Session Timeout.

The reason for a connection timeout is so the wireless cannot be used for more than 45 minutes at a time.  This is to limit streaming or downloading movies.

  • Model WAX204 — looking for a way to set connection timeout could be a happy mod tweak for better network control.
