WAX610 upgrade to 10.8.8.6 firmware version issues

Hi,

I am having issues with the new firmware (10.8.8.6) also.

I have 15 AP's that are Insight managed (same firmware) - that have absolutely no problem.

We also have another 6 that are not Insight managed that freeze up for hours and reboot randomly.

We did not have any issues with previous firmware.

I don't want to roll back the previous firmware - it resets the AP to factory defaults - and I have a lot of settings to re-apply.

Any suggestions ?

Kind regards,
Lucian

    Hi it-ledmax,

Are these 6 APs on the same network? VLAN? powered via PA or POE/POE+? can you also share the settings on each? It is unlikely that all will have the same behavior after the FW update unless something changed in the network. Have they been rebooted after the update?

You can backup each configuration of the said APs so you won't have to reapply the settings one by one.

    Kind regards,

      Hi,

They are on the same VLAN, they are connected to a Radius Server, powered via a PA.
And Yes, they reboot by themselves a couple of times per day.
Thing is that before this firmware they were on for months - can't really explain it.

I will downgrade to V10.8.7.1 - and let you know how things work.
Somehow forgot about the config back-up.

      Thank you,

      LucianV

        Hi it-ledmax,

You can share the logs of each AP of one of them so I can take a look at why it reboots. If you will proceed with downgrading the FW, let me know what happens.

        Kind regards,

    Hi it-ledmax,

If the problem continues, I suggest you contact support. Prepare the logs for each affected AP and enable SDM (reverse SSH) by following the steps below.

    1. Login to https://<AP_IP_address>/advanced_debugging.html

    2. Enable Reverse SSH

    3. Save and provide the 5 digit debug code to support.

    Kind regards,

    BrianL
