Zdr_IT- Sorry I don't speak German but used Google Translate on your post. As you are one of the few people I can find who actually has one, can you tell us more about how you are liking it? Are you using the cloud portal to manage or the local web interface? How is the fan noise? Any other observation would be most welcome, thanks.

Dear occamsrazor,
my experience is not representative for a general performance review but I let you know what I know so far.
I was using the inside app in the beginning but experienced multiple problems when saving settings (e.g. disabling PoE for certain ports, LAG config). Therefore, I switched to the web based version to set-up the switch. Even in the web based mode there are a few problems but I think this is normal for a new device when you get it that early. I have the switch in my server room, therefore the fan noise is not really an issue. I checked it this morning and I have to say... I can not hear a fan at all. But keep in mind, even though I have multiple cameras, computers, servers, etc. it is still a personal home not a company. If the traffic is different the fan noise might be different.
I think it will take a few firmware updates until everything is fixed but I am okay with that as the devise has an excellent price/performance ratio and that was most important for me. Everything else is only software and I trust that Netgear will fix everything accordingly.

One additional thing that I really don’t like...
when you want to switch back from web-based to insight-based control, it will automatically use the settings saved in the cloud not the current settings. This, in my eyes, is nonsense. The preference in controlling devices should not have anything to do with the settings for my devices. Maybe that’s just me but I don’t like it.

Thank you for your observations - much appreciated. I would be using it for home too. The whole cloud vs web interface functionality is a bit confusing. As you say it's a new product so I guess any bugs will be fixed, but for now I think I will have to give it a miss. I am also looking at the Ubiquiti Unifi switches, although to get SFP+ in those you need to go up to a 48-port model. Appreciate the information though....
